As a freelance writer, Joseph Hayes works for print and online publications worldwide. Co-owner of The Burry Man Writers Center, an award-winning worldwide community of writers. Co-founder of the social network for creative artists called Inked-In, and tINKER, a community of teen artists. Producer and curator of Jazz On Edge, a showcase for new and original works by jazz musicians. Publisher/writer, Spice Maven Press.
His collaborations include spoken-word performances with Mr. Amram, performances of West Farms, The Planets Align In Their Sinister Design and the Orlando International Fringe Festival production of Solos with jazz trumpeter Brian Groder, and What James Learned on the Internet as the "Joseph Hayes Trio" with Groder and bassist Doug Mathews. He has been an associate artist-in-residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts three times: with Samuel R. Delany (1997); Douglas Coupland (2000); and Cornelius Eady (2007).
